Yuri confesses her love before killing herself Natsuki vomits upon discovering her corpse and Monika erases both their character files. Monika reveals in her poems her disdain towards the other girls, Yuri self harming and Natsuki telling the player's character that being in the club is a welcomeВ break from her home situation. The game soon becomes twisted, with files being added to the player's computer and the game restarting on several occasions. As the festival dawns, the player's character decides to check on Sayori during the weekend, where she reveals she suffers from severe depression, eventually committing suicide. The player interacts with the four girls over time and makes poems, as Monika declares that the club should participate in their school's festival. He meets the club's three other members: Yuri, Natsuki and Monika. The storyВ focuses upon a male student (whom the player controls) who attends their school's literature club by accepting an invitation from their childhood friend, Sayori.
